Don Powell has been practicing law in Phoenix for over 48 years. He has significant experience and connections, and leadership roles, in state and local legal organizations. He regularly accepts pro bono cases and participates in free legal services programs; he was awarded the 2021 Pro Bono Attorney of the Year from the Arizona Supreme Court. Don was on Bobcats, is President of the UA Law College Association, received the UA Outstanding Alumni Service Award, is on the UA Foundation Board of Trustees and UA Alumni Association Governing Board, was President of the Phoenix Chapter of the UA Alumni Association, and serves on the UA Honors College Advisory Board.

He received his undergraduate degree and law degree from the UA. As a native Arizonan with a lengthy law practice, he can provide knowledge, direction and understanding to mentees  on networking opportunities and career direction. Don has mentored younger attorneys throughout his legal career and coached youth sports for 18 years. He has served as a mentor for the Wildcat Mentor Society since its inception and attempts to have his mentoring sessions in person in Tucson.
