Benjamin Truong
Ben Truong graduated from the University of Arizona in 2008 with a BS in Nutritional Sciences and a BA in French. After graduating from the U of A, he completed a dietetic internship with the Maricopa County Department of Public Health. He worked as a Registered Dietitian (RD) with Pinal County providing nutrition education to vulnerable populations. After working as an RD for several years, he attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where he obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree with Honors in Community Health. He is currently serving as a Captain in the United States Air Force. He provides dental care and ensures dental readiness for our military members at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois. His military career has brought him stateside and overseas. As an Officer in the USAF, he has had the opportunity to lead medical wartime exercises, organize Tactical Combat Casualty Care courses and participate in Innovating Readiness Trainings (IRT) providing medical and dental support to underserved communities.
