Ben Chulick

Ben Chulick is 20+ year veteran in the sports marketing industry. Currently Ben is the Vice President of Marketing and Events for the Barstool Sports Arizona Bowl, which is based in Tucson. Ben is responsible for the marketing, branding, and advertising of the bowl game and is the event coordinator for all bowl events. In addition, Ben oversees the Blue Blazers volunteer group.

Before joining the bowl, Ben spent nine years at the University of Arizona in the athletics department. He was the head the university’s athletics marketing, advertising and promotions efforts. In addition to strategic planning of Arizona Athletics’ branding and ticket sales goals, he oversaw game presentation, student relations, sponsor integration, social media strategy, and e-mail marketing strategy.

Prior to Arizona, Ben served as director of marketing for Colorado State Athletics from 2007 to 2011. He was responsible for marketing, advertising, promotions, branding, social media, and game presentation. He also oversaw the university’s trademark and licensing program, group sales, and was the administrator for the spirit program, which included cheerleading, dance team and mascot.

Ben joined the Rams from the Cleveland Cavaliers of the NBA. From 2004 to 2007, he served as marketing manager for the Cavs and Quicken Loans Arena and was responsible for all promotional items, assisted with marketing goals and branding initiatives, and managed game-night activities. He also wrote copy for radio, television, digital and in-game advertisements.

Prior to his time in Cleveland, Ben served more than five years in the athletics marketing department at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. At UNLV, he held the titles of assistant director of marketing (2002-04), marketing assistant (1999-2002) and marketing intern (1999). There, he assisted in all aspects of the Rebels' advertising, promotions, and game-entertainment efforts, specifically with football and men's basketball. He also coordinated several of UNLV's community relations programs. Ben launched his career at Michigan State, directing MSU's Student Alumni Foundation's student spirit group for Spartan men’s basketball, The Izzone, from 1996-98.

A 1999 graduate of Michigan State, he owns a bachelor's degree in parks, recreation and tourism resources, with an emphasis in commercial recreation. Born in Detroit, he was raised in Las Vegas, where he graduated from Bishop Gorman High School. He and his wife, Marenna, and their two daughters, make their home in Oro Valley. Marenna played basketball at Utah Valley State and UNLV.
