Courtney Unger is a tax manager with Deloitte Tax LLP’s Multistate Tax Services practice in Phoenix. She specializes in indirect tax consulting and has over six years of experience working in indirect tax, including several years at another Big 4 accounting firm as well as a boutique sales and use tax consulting firm. Her areas of expertise include advising clients on planning, compliance, process improvement, controversy, reverse audits, audit defense, and voluntary disclosure agreements in the indirect tax space.

Courtney holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with an emphasis in accounting from the Eller College of Management at UA. She is also a member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation and holds the Certified Member of the Institute in Sales Tax designation. She has passed all four section of the Certified Public Accountant exam in Arizona in her pursuit to become a licensed CPA. Courtney was an Arizona Ambassador (campus tour guide) during her tenure at UA and served as the special events coordinator for the Office of Admissions. She actively serves as a recruiter for Deloitte Tax LLP as she loves guiding students toward their dream careers.
