Gary Harper

Gary Harper is a retired electric utilities manager with over 40 years of experiences in the industry. He started by applying his mechanical engineering degree to the design of electric power systems. Harper moved to a supervisory and management role as a leader in multiple areas in the industry such as power plants, transmission lines, distribution lines, electric system operations, customer service, communications and electric protection.

Harper has mentored multiple young employees at his company as well as provided help to University of Arizona students through the engineering department, Eller College and the UA Alumni Association. He enjoys helping young adults build their career direction through discussions of his educational, work and volunteer experiences.
