Jason Mighdoll
Jason Mighdoll has spent the last 10 years in Finance and Operations growing and scaling large companies and startups. Jason started his career at Walmart in Bentonville, Arkansas. There he trained in their merchant leadership program and getting hands-on experience in a wide range of roles. After a brief stint as an Assistant Buyer and Financial Planner at Walmart upon completing the program, Jason moved back to California to pursue his dreams of working in Technology. He spent the next couple of years at Apple as a Financial Analyst. After Apple, Jason joined Twitter as one of their earliest Financial Planning and Analysis team members. While there he worked with almost all functions within Twitter and grew and developed a team of five, including three remote employees. After Twitter, Jason joined Helix as their Head of FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis). After just under a year there he saw an opportunity to change the way people get outside and joined Hipcamp's Executive Team as the Head of Finance and Operations. Now, he has recently moved to Salesforce.
Jason believes that there is more to experience than just years, but rather gathering a diverse set of skills and focusing grit and determination, anything is possible. He excels... in excel, but also growing/scaling teams, juggling diverse and challenging priorities, managing up, and solving complex issues. He is passionate about mentoring others and feels that the mentor/mentee symbiotic relationship has gotten him to where he is and hopes to continue to provide that same guidance for others. He believes its not the end destination alone, but the journey, bumps and bruises and all, that has shaped him. His goal is to pass that along.
Top Goals for Mentoring:
- Help mentees learn and grow from their peers through group discussions.
- Help mentees develop professional and life skills.
- Help mentees gain career skills for their industry of interest.
