Michael Sapp
Michael has extensive experience in retailing, business management, and leadership across a variety of companies and industries. He is president of BrightPet Brands, a manufacturer and supplier of pet food, treats, and supplies. Prior to BrightPet, he was senior vice president of buying for PetSmart, and has held senior leadership positions at manufacturing and software consulting businesses along with other retailers. Throughout his career, he has mentored associates and enjoys learning from them as much as he enjoys helping them.
He is a native Tucsonan, second generation Wildcat (Eller), and a proud father of a third generation Wildcat (also Eller). While in school he played soccer for the university’s club team and continues to follow them along with his favorite professional teams. He volunteers his time on two non-profit boards — Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center and Pet Partners, where he serves as chairman for both — and also served on the advisory board of the Terry J. Lundgren Center for Retailing at the University of Arizona, where he enjoyed speaking to classes and working with faculty and students.
