Neal Bookspan
Neal Bookspan is an equity partner at Jaburg Wilk, a Phoenix-based law firm. For over 27 years, Bookspan has worked with clients on business issues including in the areas of commercial disputes and issues, real estate matters, debtor/creditor issues and construction litigation. These matters include working on the prosecution and defense of complex, multi-party disputes, as well as transactional matters involving the sale of businesses and real property. Bookspan has a pragmatic approach to solving client’s legal issues and frequently looks for a practical solution in the client’s best interests. Bookspan frequently publishes articles on a range of legal and other business issues in BusinessLawGuy’s Blog (https://businesslawguy.com/), as well as a music blog named the Friday Jam(s) that, in addition to being sent to a large email following, can be found through playlists on YouTube. He also invests his time in his community by serving on the Boards of the Phoenix Conservatory of Music and Musically Fed.
Bookspan believes in the value of mentoring and has had a number of important formal and informal mentors throughout his career. He currently runs three internal mentoring and accountability groups at Jaburg Wilk, which fosters a culture of mentorship, and has a number of informal mentees outside of his firm. Bookspan looks forward to giving back to the UA, which has played an important role in his life and continues to with one son who is a graduate and another who is a senior.
